Ok, my apologies for the delay in posting, I have been in the studio and will post more updates soon. In the meantime over the last two weeks I've been at Sarum Studios.  Every now and again I attend workshops with the artist Nicholas Beer during his breaks from the Charles Cecil studio in Florence.  During this time I have worked on a quick oil figure sketch, a 12hr figure drawing and a 30hr portrait. It was nice to return to charcoal and though I use the medium quite tightly, it is refreshing to concentrate the eyes on the clear patterns provided by light and shadow.  My portrait of Andrew was [...]
